Hey guys! I hope everyone is enjoying their Tuesday! I feel like I haven't been on here in so long, so I thought I would catch you guys up on the last few weeks! I last left you with the news of my collaboration with Vernez. Shortly after that, I got an email from Tom Ford asking if I was interested in going to their offices for an interview for the PR internship position that was available. I went on several interviews over Christmas break including Tom Ford and Christian Louboutin. Long story short, I was offered the internship position at Tom Ford and I chose to accept the offer. I chose this offer over any other for multiple reason, however the main one being that I simply felt at home at TF.
I work three full days a week at their corporate offices on Madison Ave as their PR intern. Tom Ford is an experience unlike any other that I have had. Internships that I have had in the past have taught me a lot and I am very thankful for them, but at Tom Ford I feel apart of the close knit family that Mr. Ford has created. The company is extremely small, as TF likes to keep his employees close and comfortable. TF as a brand is one that I have admired for a few years now and being able to actually be apart of the success first hand is something I am so proud of. The atmosphere is fast paced, focused, lighthearted, genuine, and hilarious. There is never a dull moment in the office and showroom (which is where I work).
I am so proud of myself and grateful for this incredible experience and I can't wait to continue my time working at TF!
School is also in full swing so between work, school, and finishing up getting the apartment perfect, I have been one busy girl.
BUT I have a new post for you all today and I hope you guys like it! Since it is Fashion Week here in NYC I thought I would show you a look I wore! ENJOY!!

This look is a favorite of mine. I found this dress at Forever21 as I was rushing through the store with my brother and we both stopped in our tracks and he said "thats you" right as I was going to grab my size. Its a mid calf tight cotton graphic dress. A few posts back I mentioned how I don't love graphic pieces but this one was so fun and subtle. It says Warner Bros Studio in gold, followed by a long description in English and Japanese in white. I paired this dress with my favorite black jeans. I am really into the ripped knee look with jeans, even though they are fading out of trend. (Look out the 70s are making their comeback!!!) I paired these two together and kept the hem of the dress right above the knee cut outs. I do love black on black outfits but this is my twist on that trend. Since everyone is obsessed with black on black right now, even though its quickly fading out, I think it is still fun to try different things with it...like pairing a long dress and jeans.
I picked up this long blazer at Forever21 as well. I love the slate grey color, since I do wear neutrals on a daily basis I thought this would go great with the majority of my closet. I am only 5'3 so the reason I can pull off such a long blazer is because it has two high slits on either side. The slits show off my legs when I walk so I don't look shorter than I already am. My favorite part of this look was the length at which the dress hits and the slightly longer length of the blazer. It looked oddly symmetrical and cool.
Its also extremely cold and snowy in Manhattan (I actually came home to surprise my parents for the night which is why I am in Connecticut in the photos, but I was in Manhattan during the morning and afternoon time). In order not to freeze I threw on my Burberry poncho to bring a little depth to the outfit and for some color. I also am obsessed with this piece so I make any excuse I can to wear it with almost everything! I also wore my 'go-to' black ankle boots because there is enough snow in NYC and Connecticut to last a lifetime.
The amount of people who stopped me in Manhattan and then back in Connecticut to say how much they loved this look was crazy! I personally love it, however I know it is a bit bold and daring so the response that I got from it was so nice. I dare you guys to try something layered and maybe even a little weird like this. The wintertime is the perfect opportunity to try different layering techniques, so you have zero excuse not to try!!!

I missed being here the last few weeks and I am so happy to be back. I have never been this busy in my entire life and it is truthfully so fun and definitely rewarding! There is not greater feeling than seeing your hard work and commitment pay off! Until next time!!
