I have always wanted to do a winter white look for the holidays because I think it so chic and classic. However, it is a bit of a mature look in my opinion and I thought this year was the perfect year for me to try it out! I bought this dress at Macy's last week and I thought it would be great for this look. It is from the collection Bar III that Macy's carries and I recommend their clothing for comfort and they are extremely fashion forward while not breaking the bank which is a plus, especially around the holidays! The dress is an embroiderd cotton with leather panels that run from the neck to the bottom hem. The leather detailing is what drew me to this dress because it is very flattering and synchs in the waist. I also like the subtle flair skirt, which gives my body a nice shape as well. I decided to keep my tights nude and wore my cream ankle booties. I chose these shoes instead of heels because I wanted to keep this look on the casual side. I also don't like to be tapping all over my aunts house in heels during the party LOL.
This coat is clearly the dramatic element of this look. This coat is a vintage piece that my mom has had for a very long time (she made me promise I wouldn't share the exact amount of years LOL). This coat is absolutely gorgeous and has this incredible 70s feel to it with the fur neck and wrist details. I love anything that brings me back in time to a different era especially around the holidays. It is a cozy feeling getting dressed up and almost going back in time while you're at a party! I also thought this coat was perfect for this look because I would still be in a full winter white look when I took the coat off which is what I was aiming for when I was planning this outfit. I paired this clutch that I actually wore with my senior prom dress. I love being able to use accessories from a very special occasion again in a more classic and casual outfit.
Winter white is such a fun theme to run with during the holidays and it is the only time that it can be worn, so I say GO FOR IT. It is a bold statement and what better way to celebrate the winter season and the holidays than with feelings beautiful and confident? I hope you all have a lovely rest of the day and... I am off to my family party! I will be back with Part 3 very soon! Until then... XX
