Welcome back everyone! It seems like forever since we last met, but I'M BACK!! I have been so busy moving back into college for my second year. However, now that I am settled in, posts will be flowing weekly! Keeping with the spirit of "back to school" this week is all about back to school...my way. I hope you enjoy!!
(Please excuse my wrinkled button down, I have a jam packed subway ride to thank for that.) Today I am wearing a white Ralph Lauren Polo button down with beige and white lace shorts from JCrew. My hot pink scarf is from Coach and my beige and pink soled oxfords are BP.
School is in session which means a new year, a new you, and new clothes. For me, starting a new school year is one of the most exciting times of the year. I get to experiment with new trends and ideas...like today! I love love love scarves. This summer I splurged on them. I love wearing them around my neck, in my hair or in place of jewlery.
I don't usually like to wear big chunky necklaces to class. Being a college sophomore in New York City, I quickly learned that plans can change at the drop of a hat, and emergency coffee runs before class become a common occurance. With so much running around, wearing heavy jewlery is not ideal. I tied my scarf in a bow around my neck. A scarf can be very versatile. It is a clever way to accessorize a look and make it unique (and unique is ALWAYS the goal!!) I left my shirt untucked to make it look like a casual rendition of a school uniform. The shirt untucked is very comfortable and makes sitting in class all day bearable.

I fell in love with these two-toned oxfords. My outfit was inspired by my scarf however I was able to pair these shoes perfectly with the rest of my oufit. I paired my red and pink Prada bag with this outfit because of the size. It is big enough to hold all my essentials for school and it is my go to bag. Choosing a bag to go with an outfit is very important, especially when it has certain colors in it. Today, my main pop of color was hot pink. My red and pink bag tied the outfit together. Have fun with matching your favorite bags with your outfits. Be daring and create an outfit based on your most playful colored bag.
My beige and white lace shorts give the outfit a bit of an edge. The texture makes the look pop and ties the shoes and scarf together.
Last but certainly not least. SUNGLASSES!! The topper to every delicious outfit. Find a shape that looks the best for your face and SPLURGE!!! You will thank me! They are perfect, and lets be honest, its summer and the sun is out to play!!

I hope this was a fun and informative "back to school" outfit idea. Mix it up with your accessories and try new things, it's the start of a brand new year so start it off new and fresh. BE THE TREND SETTER...I dare you :)
