Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a great weekend! It has been raining quite a bit here in New York City, so I decided since I was not going to allow the rain to keep me from having fun; I dedicated this post to celebrating the rain, with some fashion. I hope you all enjoy this post and I can’t wait to talk to you again very soon! Enjoy!
As much as I love rainy days, sitting on the couch and watching movies, I decided to get up, and get dressed up for a walk around Central Park with my roommate Shannon.
A trend that I love this fall is printed trousers. I tend to wear straight-legged pants, but decided to change it up a little with these fun trousers. My trousers are from Conway ($7.00), my mustard shirt is from Forever 21, my blazer is from H&M, and my brown heels are from Steve Madden. My black trench coat is from Burberry.
I just want to clarify that yes, my pants were indeed only $7.00. I love to bargain shop! Living in New York as a college student, bargain shopping has become my new hobby.
Patterned trousers/pants are great item to have because you can wear them all year round. An outfit can be made very simple by combining a pair of patterned trousers/pants with a simple sweater or blouse. The result is an easy go-to look for any fall day.

I like to play with the colors that are in my outfit and match them throughout the look. I decided that the mustard and maroon colors from the trousers were the most prominent and matched my tops accordingly. Mustard is another one of my favorite colors to wear and it is a traditional fall color.
I like color blocking outfits! I did just that by adding the maroon blazer to this look. Playing with colors is a big part of my fashion style. I have mentioned taking risks in many of my other posts and I will say it again. I believe that fashion is about taking risks and wearing loud pieces. Stepping out of my comfort zone is what I live for. I like to think that my comfort zone is basically nonexistent. LOL!
This outfit was loud enough on its own so I chose to keep it simple with the accessories. One of my least favorite things to see is an outfit with unnecessary amounts of jewelry. Many “everyday” outfits have the ability to stand on their own so don’t take the spotlight away from the clothes. Don’t get me wrong, I love to accessorize, but I have taught myself that less is more when the outfit is perfect.

I have my mother to thank for keeping me on trend this fall by passing her beautiful Burberry trench coat on to me. Trench coats are a must-have in any woman’s closet. I personally think that the length of mine adds drama to my look. As I get older, I like to wear things that are more mature…(sometimes). I like adding a bit of drama to outfits. Drama means heads will turn and who doesn’t like a head turn every now and again. Coats are a very important part of any persons closet and finding the right one can be tough. Try on as many as it takes to find the perfect fit. Many coats have belts that help show off your figure. The length and fit are also important factors to keep in mind. Think of the clothes that you will be wearing underneath the coat. You wear the coat; the coat should not wear you.
I hope you all enjoyed this post! I just want to thank you all for reading my posts and supporting me with this journey. I broke my record on views last week and I am so overwhelmed with support and I feel so incredibly blessed to have the readers that I have. So thank you all and this post is dedicated to my amazing and fabulous readers. I love you all! Until next time.
