Hey guys!! I hope you all had a great holiday weekend for those of you who have today off from work or school I hope you enjoyed it, and for those of you who don't....I hope you had the best day!! Today's post is still keeping with Fashion Week. During Fashion Month a big trend walking the runways in New York, London, Paris, and Milan were dresses worn with pants. A lot of designers sent this pairing down the runway and I wanted to show you guys my take on this "unusual" trend. I hope you all enjoy!!

So, some of you many remember in my "Embracing The Culture" blog post I mentioned a shirt that I bought at the small boutique in Santorini, well this is that shirt. I say its a shirt, however it can definitely be worn as a dress. The shirt has a tie in the back that adjusts the length of the garment. With the tie at its loosest, the shirt falls just above my knees, which is a very appropriate dress length. For this look I tied the back up a bit to create this length here, which still passes as a dress. I love this look because I am still wearing a summer piece in the fall. AHH the beauty of blazers!! I threw on this wool blazer from Zara with my favorite maroon leather pants from TopShop. My booties are from Aldo and my bag is Burberry. Of course, it wouldn't be a fall outfit from Me if I didn't include a hat, and this one I'm wearing here is from H&M.
I wanted to stick to traditional fall colors for this look so I chose browns and reds. I love these leather pants because they are loose and give a 'boyfriend' look to the outfit which keeps it casual.
No one person should be allowed to own as many blazers as me. I own far too many and I am very aware of this. However this blazer has to be one of my favorites. I love the different colors that are on the front panels with the solid brown sleeves. It also has navy blue velvet elbow pads so can you now understand why I had to buy it?! Good, Thank You!!

This shirt is gorgeous and so well made. I love the simplicity of it because it gives it versatility, which is very important for me when I am buying clothes. The great thing about this shirt is that it also comes with a belt made of the same fabric. The shirt is wearable with or without the belt and I show you how to wear it both ways! I personally love both of them, however it was a bit cold the day I wore this outfit to the park by the Hudson River Harbor with Michael so I chose to keep the blazer on for the day!
I hope you all enjoyed this fall outfit and I hope some of you try this dress with pants trend out! Trust me, I was a bit hesitant to try and recreate this trend into a ready to wear, street style outfit, but I love what I came up with so it can be done and I hope you give it a go! I'll see you all back here next week!
