Ciao, Come stai facendo le mie belle lettori? I want to welcome you all back to Louboutin'd and Blonde! The past few weeks of my life have been extremely busy and yet equally as wonderful. I have moved to Italy and into my apartment here in Florence. With moving and traveling I had to put Louboutin'd to the side and focus on settling into this amazing new place that I now am able to call home. However, I'm settled and ready to work. This is the first of many posts to come and I hope you all love them. Enjoy! Ciao.
Our environment and surroundings are a few of the many things that influence the way that we dress. Since I moved to Italy, I have tapped into the daring side of my personality and have been dressing accordingly. Channeling this new and improved attitude, I put this outfit together. I am wearing a blazer from Saint Laurent Paris, my pants are from Zara, my bralette is from Urban Outfitters, and my flats are Chanel.
My inspiration for this outfit is straight off the red carpet. Actresses and celebrities have taken the traditional "menswear" look and transformed the "pant suit" into one of the classiest forms of sexy there can be. Celebs can get away with wearing just a buttoned blazer without a shirt underneath it on the red carpet, however, for people like you and me, we need to improvise. Improvise we shall. Instead of going bare chested, I decided that the most appropriate way to pull of this trendy look in an everyday setting was to wear a lace, skin colored bralette or camisole. If you are unsure what a bralette is, it is basically a bra without the padding and it is usually lace or sheer. The purpose of a bralette is the same as a camisole, except it only covers the chest area. Urban Outfitters and Free People have a huge selection.

These maroon and navy plaid pants are one of my favorite things that I own. Plaid has made a huge come back in the fashion world in the past year and I have taken full advantage of its return. The fashion in Europe is much simpler than the fashion in the States.
Mixing patterns and colors is rarely seen and blacks and blues are worn much more. I tried to create a look that incorporated the Italian fashion scene, my menswear inspiration, and my own personal style and this is what I came up with. I styled the pants with a plain, navy blue blazer to keep my look simple and sexy. The blazer has only one button so it covered the right amount of skin in order to keep my look on the classy side of the sexy spectrum. The only tricky thing with this kind of look, is achieving the right amount of sex appeal. We want this look to be subtly sexy and wearable during the day. Just a touch of skin showing underneath the bralette and at the top of the blazer where the button closes is the right amount to make this outfit appropriate for the daytime. Always remember that the attitude that you have on underneath is sexier than any article of clothing that you could ever wear.

The goal that I try to achieve every time that I get dressed is to portray my personal attitude and mood that I am feeling that day. Today I was feeling great and hey, maybe even a little sexy so I wanted to show that off. The way that I feel on the inside is always illuminated with the way that I dress on the outside. It has taken me a few years to find my comfort zones when it comes to clothing and trends. I have had many "awkward stages" with clothing that have not fit my body shape properly and many failed attempts at "being different" a little too much. However, with trial and error and accepting the way I look and appreciating my personal style, I have achieved the goal of feeling 100% satisfied when I get dressed. I decide how I feel that day and I play along. I take risks and yes, some of those risks are regretful. However, some of them are spot on and those are the ones that count. I style my outside with the way my inside is feeling in order to achieve 100% self-satisfaction and happiness.
I am beyond excited to experience Italy and my new life here through fashion with all of you. I look forward to being able to post more often. The lack of wifi and the absurd amount of time I spend eating may be a hinderance, however I plan on posting every week and I hope to have you all back here with me next time! Don't forget to follow my travels, experiences and of course, my fashion on my Instagram page Jacquelyn_Beaulieu. CIAO LE AMICHE!
